Dr. Tony Dollar opened his office for the practice of General Dentistry in Dothan, Alabama in August, 1971, and has maintained a very successful private practice since then.  He grew up in Valley, Alabama, and graduated from Valley High School in 1961.  He graduated from Sanford University in 1965 and the University of Alabama School of Dentistry in 1969.  He served as the class president for two years while in dental school.  After graduating from dental school, he served in the U.S. Navy for two years, including a tour of Vietnam with the First Marine Airwing.

Tony has been very actively involved in many professional and civic organizations.  He has held all the elected positions of the Third District Dental Society, and is an alumnus of the L.D. Pankey Institute.  He is a member of the American Dental Association, the UAB Dental Alumni Association, as well as the AL-D-PAC.  He has been a member of the Alabama Academy of General Dentistry since 1971, and he has received both the prestigious Fellowship and Mastership awards from the Academy.  After serving on the Board of Directors for fifteen years, he served as President of this organization for the 1999-2000 term.

Tony is a member of the Dothan-Houston County Rotary Club, and is a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Tony and his wife, Linda, have two children, son Jeremy and daughter Brantley. 

He is an avid sportsman and enjoys hunting and fishing.  He and Linda enjoy the beach, but their favorite pastime is cheering for the Crimson Tide.
